LONDON FESTIVAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY 2012
7th June 2012
ILFORD PHOTO support 2 day Pinhole Photography Workshop
In June 2012 some of London's most celebrated venues will play host to a world-class, city-wide celebration of photography as the London Festival of Photography returns for its second year.
Encompassing street, documentary and conceptual photography, the festival includes 18 exhibitions and 40 satellite events including workshops, talks and screenings taking place throughout June.
Included in the programme of events is a 2-day workshop of Pinhole Photography presented by fine art printer and photographer Guy Paterson. ILFORD PHOTO is providing HARMAN Titan Pinhole Cameras for the hands-on sessions of this workshop, which will also include practical printing experience in the darkroom.
Steven Brierley, Director of Sales and Marketing at HARMAN technology Limited, said, “The London Festival of Photography is a wonderful event. We are delighted to be able to support the Pinhole Photography Workshop that not only features traditional photography using pinhole cameras but will also show participants how to make real silver gelatin prints on black and white photographic paper”
Guy Paterson approaches photography from his fine art print background combining photomechanical techniques with conventional photography.
The stripping of photography to its basic essentials allows both a typological
analysis and a rich personal aesthetic. He continues to inspire with his courses
both at Central Saint Martins and at the new Alternative Print Space (set up in conjunction with Sebastian Sussmann).
