deep joy this weekend. I took my daughters shopping to one of the best deparment stores in the city. I left them hunting Barbie stuff. I came accross a "Kidz labs" pinhole camera labelled as a "fun science project".
Basic black abs plastic 'camera'. Uses 35mm film (not tried any yet) and is complete as a kit in everyway. Basic spring shutter mechanism and basic film advance, but it looks pretty good to me! All for 16$

4M industrial Development Ltd. They list www.4m-ind.com

Can't wait to try it out now.

I bicycled throughout New Zealand for 6 months with a 4x5 camera and one lens. I brought along a pinhole, mounted on a lensboard, just in case I dropped my lens. I never used it, but I now wish I had played with it there. It would have been fun!

I'll have to make a pinhole for my 8x10 one of these days.

Cool. So, who is going to take credit for your daughters' science project?
